Spring Flowers

Hello! Spring is here so I thought I'd post some beautiful flowers from some beautiful blogs....These are from the wonderful "Creative Mint".
Kelly Mc Cabe has a terrific site....I got these from her.
This little bunch is from Gabrielle Kai....she has lots of flowers!
A close up of a bunch of Lilacs....already blooming in Connecticut, but haven't seen too many buds here. This from "Such Pretty Things".
Lovely roses from "Concrete and Honey"....I think they are from her garden in Australia.
I found this image HERE...isn't the color combination beautiful?
And this image can be found HERE. This is what I want our Community garden space to look like....I'm heading there right now before I go to the studio! Have a rosy day! :)

The Shop on 4 Fair Street

I added some new things to the shop. I found the display case I had made for my other shop in my storage area.
I dusted it off and filled it with goodies.
I've been working on some jewelry made from vintage pieces. Now they have a proper home.

And here is one corner of the studio filled with spring flowers and such. I also found a big hooked rug that fills up the whole front....it looks great! I'll post a picture of that tomorrow. I'm open Tuesday through Saturday....10 'til 5 ....stop by for a chat if you're downtown! :):)

Beautiful Soaps From Satin Birch

Look what I found today! It's Satin Birch, a soap maker from Nevada. Aren't these wonderful?
I was originally going to do a post with the theme of "yellow" as it is Daffodil Weekend here in Nantucket.I did a search on Etsy, and this is what I found....Lucky Us!

This is a perfect Mother's Day gift, don't you think? Thanks Satin Birch! :)

Here are my new Mermaid frames. They are available in my Etsy shop.
They are 3 x 5 but I can also paint 4 x 6 and 5 x 7.
I used a decal transfer for my Mermaid to capture the detail.

The rest is hand painted!

Heinz Kiessling

I found this Illustrator through the wonderful "Journey Round My Skull".
It's all from a book by Ilse Firbas.
I wish that I could get a copy, but I can't find it.
I bet I'll find it in the thrift shop this year.
I bet I will....Off to the studio! :)

Shop Photos

A corner of my counter with the mermaid statue wearing a vintage charm bracelet
The top of the hutch has been changed, but this is what it used to look like. I'll probably change it again before Daffodil Day.
The light is pretty in the afternoon, although I can't quite capture it properly.
Same light, different area! This is where I showcase all of the vintage necklaces that I have been making all winter.
I put the new flower pots on top of the hutch. I like it better. Now I have to finish the wall mural that I started a year ago....See you at the shop if you are in the area! Open 10 til 5....:)

Mermaid Flower Pot

I finished a few of my pots and here is one of them.
Mermaids....and rosa rugosas...
This is a big enough pot to use in the bathroom as a waste basket,or to put some pretty rolled up hand towels into,or to put in the kitchen to hold your wooden spoons and the like....or even to put a plant in! Have a great day !

Flower Pots

Yesterday I stayed home and did a little housework and a little priming. This is what I'm working on next.
We had a supper from the garden with some springtime soup and a bit of wine. Thanks for the roses, Jeffrey!
YUM! Here's a link! :)
