Balleck's Garden Center

Our Passion flower that we treasured so much died this spring....we watered it and let it sit in a bowl and the roots rotted....I told Jeffrey that maybe it was a sign....he he he....So, on our Jaunt, I decided to get another....at the same place I got the first one....Balleck's Garden Center.
This is by far the most wonderful and interesting place I have ever been. It is an old farm that has been in the Balleck family since 1660! My Folks live nearby and so whenever I visit, I stop by.

The view from the parking area.....plants everywhere....

Lots of old and new metal outdoor and garden furniture....

Inside we go....a floral shop that runs into all kinds of nooks and crannies filled with flowers and gardening accessories...

Beautiful terrariums.....

Pots, frogs, japanese figurines (for terrariums and bonsai)...you name it....it's here!

More of the same....organic seeds...gazing balls......

There is even a huge cage full of little finch...tweeting away....notice Puddy cat's bed on top of the cage....

more potted plants and cement figurines....

Out the back door....blooming flowers and more statues....

There's the passion flower section....I got a small one with 4 blooms ready to burst into flower.....Watch out, Jeffrey!

There's Puddy Cat all curled up in a box at the check-out counter......There is a whole other building that they open in the fall for the Holiday Season.....I'll do a post on that ,too! On to Gillette Castle tomorrow! xo
