The Farmer's Market was cancelled because of the "Storm" that didn't happen....it was actually sunny....So, I worked in the Studio....I took some pictures of some personalized frames that I had painted for Brooke....
This one is backed by a wallpaper design I did years back.....
These are 5 x 7 frames....you can add a matt for a smaller photo.....
Here are the witches being glittered.....ooooooohhhhhhh!
On Sunday, Honey and I went for a walk....here we are in Polpis.....
The fields were a buzzing with bees collecting from the wild astors and goldenrod.....a woman was picking wild grapes, and we saw a beautiful Red Tailed Hawk....It flew by , screeched, and sat up in a tree checking us out.
Here is a Halloween Mermaid that I will embellish with glitter and pretty paper...I will have them in my Etsy Shop soon! The Farmer's Market is coming to an end Columbus Day Weekend, so I will be posting more things in the Shop. Thanks to all who have stopped by! Please visit me on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at my 4 Fair Street Studio....xo
The Studio is getting more and more full of Mermaids....
here they are swimming around the table....
a close up....This box will be in my Christmas catalog for you to order if you live off Island....send me your address!
Here is a rosa rugosa picture frame.....
and a corner of another dandy design.....
I paint non-mermaid things, too!
And there's also an abundance of handmade cards to search through....Won't you stop by? I'm at 4 Fair Street, Nantucket...Monday's, Thursday,Friday, and Saturday! See you then! xo
I like this one, too, but I didn't see it for sale. You may remember my previous post about Evan B Harris. When you go to the charming wall site, click on all of the places to go and watch the image change. TTFN! xo
.....and here's some of the loot she brought back...lots of paint, boxes, beads, and best of all.....
GLITTER! Martha's glitter, no less! Another wonderful Martha thing that I got is a fine tipped glue pen for writing in fancy script and dusting with glitter....YUM!.....
I saw Paul, holding his favorite herb bread that I brought him from Something Natural standing next to the morning glories that he grew from seed....Grampa would be proud.....Here they are again....we should have taken the photo in the morning when they were in their "glory".....
And here's my passion flower blooming before I left....
There are two blooms on it, but Honey said that there were 4 when I was gone! Must be alot of Passion around here.....xo
Here's a look at the counter Honey made me for my studio....I sealed the top with 4 coats of clear environmentally friendly sealer, the same kind that I use on my boxes and frames....
This is the side of the counter where I'll paint some beautiful flowers......
Here is the table of delights....
And the pretty little wardrobe that I got at the Hospital Thrift Shop! I love the gigham curtains, but I think I am going to open the doors and put chicken wire on them and then hang the fairy dolls....I put a shelf inside....
Hey! There's the counter painted! And you can see the beginnings of some designs I am painting on the walls.... I'll be at the studio on 4 Fair Street today and tomorrow, so stop in if you're in town! Toodle-loo! xo
I'm starting to think about painting on black again. The approaching fall and winter months get me in that kind of mood...I love painting on black backgrounds!
These images are from some pocket mirror designs that I did when I was living in Cape Breton....
Right now, I am working on some picture frames that I painted black. My favorite paint is gouache and the colors look fantastic on a black background. It covers beautifully. I am also grooving on my new Studio! Honey just delivered the exquisite counter he made for me. I will take some pics today and post them soon!xo
Every now and then I go to ebay and put my name in, and every now and then, something comes up! So this is a good deal if you want this mug....she also calls me " The Nantucket Mermaid" so thank you ! I was just thinking about making more of these....Let's see what she gets for it! xo
Here's a new design for my wooden handmirrors.....Things are finally winding down now that Labor Day is here and gone. Time to get cranking in the studio....Look what Ulla has been up to! I've got to catch up! xo
