Northfield Primitives

I found Northfield Primitives through Selvedge Magazine. Isn't this little terrior swell?

And this elephant is awfully sweet!

Here is a Cocker Spaniel . They are made in Great Britain...I don't know if they ship to the U.S. I'd love to have one though! I found them on this site.
I wonder if there is anything like that just for U.S. folk artists....anyone know? :)

Hand Painted Vintage Jewelry Chest

I found this and thought it would look fabulous painted  with pretty flowers. The mirror is mottled, and gives it that vintage appeal. It  would be easy to replace with a new one as well.

Four little drawers to stash treasures.

A close up of hydrangeas and roses.

The sides were painted in an old design I used way back when....ribbons and flowers.

Have a happy cyber Monday! I'll put this in the etsy shop to celebrate the day! Thanks for looking....:)

Amber Hinds of Papoose and Au Coeur Designs

Amber Hind was also a speaker at the Petticoat Row function. She is one of those youngins  that taught herself HTML language and all of THAT STUFF. We could hardly keep up with her! She has a web design service...Au Coeur Designs as well as a business for new and expecting Mothers called Papoose.

And she can cook! She has yummy recipes on her site. I learned a lot at the meeting. Thanks for all of the info, Amber!

Petticoat Row Networking Night Out!

Petticoat Row  is an organization that celebrates Women in business. This month, Jason Bridges from Nantucket By Bike was one of the speakers about Social Media.  There was Jason and about 50 women ...we usually have female speakers, but tonight was different. I saw him devouring a glass of wine after he spoke.(Like the rest of us!) Jason runs Nantucket By Bike....what a great idea! I know him from Nantucket Bookworks where I used to work before I got my wee shop/studio. He always picked up interesting books, and we had great conversations about them.He decided to go for it and open his own business, and had to learn about how to promote it. Since he's a voracious reader, he read everything about social media promotion. So....he also has another business....Social Bridge Consulting (nice!) where he does social media consultation. WOW!

I love his site...I love the way he introduces his tour guides, too, right down to their favorite dishes.(just click the picture)
Amber Hinds also did a talk on social media connections. She is a twenty something wiz, and I will blog about her tomorrow.
If you want to really see our beautiful Island by bike, please make sure to contact Nantucket By Bike....you will be delighted!
