The Wedding Bash

Dani and Simon's wedding reception was in a big greenhouse that is like a living room. It was a beautiful sunny day. They got married on the beach, and then the festivities began....

Gardening with Jeffrey

Jeffrey loves to garden....

Here's what we've got....raised beds that we share with our neighbor...some sun, some shade....

Jeffrey loves his garlic!We have a cold frame where we grow lettuce and herbs all year, and start seedlings in the spring...I heard we may put in a little cold frame near the house for kitchen herbs next year....

Yes, there is his beloved garlic....

This is some of the lettuces that he wintered over in the cold frame......

Beautiful! And they are even more abundant after 2 days of rain.....

Only one thing missing....MORE FLOWERS! He made me my own raised bed for Hollyhocks, forget me nots, WHITE marigolds, WHITE nasturtium, zinnias, morning glory, Sunflowers, and whatever else I can fit in it. Jeffrey puts in kitchen gardens, cold frames and the like, right here on the Island....Catch his blog HERE....xo

Neighborhood Stroll

It was such a beautiful day yesterday after days of rain that I took a nice long neighborhood walk. My Studio is in Town, and the houses and sights are just around every corner....Here is "the blue car" parked in front of The Ship's Inn....nice flower boxes!

And on 4 Pine Street, a beautiful door with delicate lace curtains and a hand door knocker....I love the decorative trim.....

Cookies

My turn to make dinner last night....Rice pasta with lemon, mint and peas .....He eats gluten free, so I made these for dessert and added some lemon zest to them for a tasty treat sensation...a meal in minutes! (photo courtesy of ms adventures in italy)
