Painting on Black

I like to paint on a black background. Here is a octagonal wooden plate painted with gouache. The colors are more intense than my pastel on white.

I got a bunch of interesting boxes from a factory that makes them for tools. Here is one that I painted.

I think I was living in Cape Breton at the time. I liked it up there because there was nothing to do but PAINT!

Another unusually shaped box from the tool company.

Fun wallpaper!

Thanks for looking....more etsy shop goodies tomorrow! :)

The boxes are gorgeous! What are they made from? Wood, paper mache? I would love to know the resource, you will see we do different types of boxes too! Always loving to find great ones. I love the paperdolls, but I truly love your mermaids!

The boxes are made of wood. I got them in Poughkeepsie New York. I have their business card at the Studio, so I'll post it later. Glad that you liked the boxes! :)-----<
