Louise Fili

I love the design work of Louise Fili.
Especially the logo for The Mermaid Inn...my favorite place to go for oysters in NYC....UMMMMM

On her site you can view product design, logos, restaurant logo and design, and some videos. Visit her blog as well!

Here is her beautiful book.I have to pick one up!

This logo for a cosmetic dentist is pretty swanky...:)=

Sfoglia....a restaurant that is no longer on Nantucket, but loving the Mermaids!
Such inspiration.....I've got to make some new packaging for the shop....TTFN:):)

Mermaid Floral Tray

I just finished painting a nice, big oval tray.

I got a bunch of them from my friend from art school, Jean.

So here is the first one, with a Mermaid, of course! I got some inspiration from my collection of lace designs here in my studio as well as on my pinterest board. You see, I pin for a reason!

Thanks for looking and here is a lovely link. Enjoy your weekend!

Surprise Surprise!

I was pinning today on Pinterest and look what I found!

I guess somebody's Daughter embroidered  my logo girl  and gave them to her Mom as a present.

I was surprised! Innocent enough,  she did a great job.And I am glad that the photos are watermarked...:):) Now back to pinning.....

Salad and Veggie Goodness

One of my New Year's Resolutions is to eat more plant based foods. It's easy to find yummy recipes on the web....My favorite is Alkaline Sisters. Not only do they have fine photos and  delicious recipes, Julie is a holistic nutritionist and gives you a bit of an education. Thanks, Julie!
My favorite vegetable is the Beet. I love it's taste and color! In addition, this dish is made with another of my favs, fennel...ooh la la! This recipe comes from Kitchen 72.

Green bean salad with mustard seeds and tarragon. WOW...can't wait to try it!
This recipe comes from a cookbook by Yotam Ottolenghi.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your weekend! :)
