Easter Eggs 6, 7 And 8

Hello...Long time , no see :):) We had some nice friends visit from Vermont and the weekend was gorgeous! So we walked and walked and walked. I fell behind in my Egg A Day venture. So, it's catch up time....Eggie number 6...
colored pencil and marker.
Egg number 7 . Acrylic paint and transfers.....
The base.
A happy mermaid on one side....
And one on the other!
Smiling at each other.
And waving their tales.
This one is done with a red micron marker.
It was fun to do , but it wears out the tip pretty fast.
I have two more on the table ready to finish today.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your day....:)

Easter Egg Number 5

Aren't these wonderful? They are done traditionally with beeswax and strong dyes. Look at all of that intricate work!
Here is my black egg as promised. This one has it's brass cap for hanging. I painted it with gouache which covers black surfaces well.
I will put these on Etsy soon...I think...
I've just been so busy!
Another black egg for tomorrow! Thanks for looking! :)

Egg Number Four

I guess I should color this in at some point.
I like it black and white, too.
Yes, it took FOREVER to draw!
It's a bigger goose egg than the rest.
I think I will use inks to color it in.
Someday......

soon....Thanks for looking! :)

An Egg A Day

Last year around Easter, I painted an egg a day for about a month. This year, I will do the same. These are wonderful goose eggs that I get from a goose farm in South Dakota.
I did the designs on this one with colored micron pens.
I usually like to do this type of work at home after work at the studio. I sit in my chair and listen to classical music while Jeffrey cooks. :)
The eggs come already blown and sanded. It makes for a nice surface.
Looks like only 21 more to go! I'll be at the studio if anybody wants to stop by. It is well packed for the coming season....ttfn....:)
