A Mermaid Painting

I  have 20 11 x 14 canvases that I plan to paint this Winter. This is the first.

It has a little more to go and then I have to find a frame. I am not good with the frame part. Any suggestions?

I started another based on a woman wearing a floral hat. Then only 18 more to go!:):)

Hand Painted Box

Hello all. I have been painting all sorts of things lately. This big oval box is one of a set of five that I am painting for the shop.

It took over 4 hours to paint.I listened to a book on tape while I painted it..... Inspector Kurt Wallandar  by Henning Mankell, a Swedish crime writer.

I think some Swedishness came out of my paint brush while I painted it!

Or Sweetness! :):)

Here is the top....Back to painting for me!

Bertold Loffler

I love Bertold Loffler's work, especially the scalloped edges.  He was a decorative artist best known for his ceramics, but I like his graphic art.I found his postcards in the book "Postcards of the Wiener Werkstatte" that my Son gave me for Christmas.

This postcard would be perfect for Valentine's Day!

You can find more about him HERE Thanks for looking!
