The Flower Faerie

This is the time of the year where I go through my studio and get rid of old magazines, old supplies and unearth all of the inspirational books that I use all year long for ideas. Here is one of my FAVORITE books.

Illustrations by Vladimir Vagin.

When a selfish emperor sees a beautiful faerie sleeping on a flower, he plucks the flower and brings the faerie back to his palace. But with the faerie imprisoned in a glass case, the fruits and flowers of the kingdom begin to wither and die.

Then the illustrations in the book turn to black and white until the Faerie is rescued and brings everything back to life, and all the illustrations back to color.  Love it!  You can get the book HERE.   I'm off to create!  TTFN !
