Black Egg

How about some black eggs? I paint these with gouache, my favorite medium.
I have to spray the first half that I paint with varnish before I paint the other side as it is a water based paint and will smudge if I handle the egg for too long.
And then I spray the whole thing when I'm finished.
Today I will paint another!

And I'll put them in my shop on Etsy.
TTFN and thanks for looking! :)

Etsy Front Page Treasury

Thank you , Etsy for the front page treasury ! And thank you all for looking...xo :)

We Found Each Other

I got an email from Cecilia at Burned Furniture the other day. She said that she included me in her Treasury on Etsy. Look at the great company I am in! Thanks, Cecilia! Now check out these beauties. It even has a name.."pyrography"....I only thought boyscouts were into wood burning...was I wrong! This is way better than Louis Vuitton.

This is amazing! I thought I had patience.I think it's like meditation for us .
Here is the incredible decorative cutting board I got. I love the cracker still life.
I love all of the flora and fauna.....
The back side really is a cutting board...The knife is great, too! I can't wait to get it.....
On to the Egg Of The Day....pen and colored pencils.
In pastel hues.
Another goose egg.
Now I am off to paint a bureau! TTFN! :)

Egg Of The Day

I took a picture of the egg du jour against a backdrop of a ceramic wreath that I had made years ago.
Here is a close up. I feel inspired to make some more clay flowers this spring.
A pale yellow egg with roses and forget- me -nots.
There it is , snuggling with a rose.
This would make a nice fabric design...or china. I'll put it in my etsy shop.
Thanks for looking! :)

Flea Market and Craft Show

I participated in a flea market and craft show this weekend hosted by The Lighthouse School. There's my table full of stuff.
The eggs.....
My little mermaid statue held some of the vintage charm necklaces that I have been working on this winter......
I painted a wee chicken egg for yesterday's egg of the day.
Alot more fragile than the goose eggs, but I got a tip from one of my Man customers. (I don't have many of them except around Christmas) He puts a bit of white glue in the blown out egg and swirls it around and lets it drain in an egg cup. That way, the egg gets another film added to it to make it a bit stronger. Now I have to find the 3 dozen blown chicken eggs that I put somewhere...hmmmmm.Here's a link! :)

Etsy Handpicked

My friend, Lisa, told me that I was on etsy"s handpicked.
I couldn't find it on their site, but it must be true, as I got over 325 hits on an egg!
So I guess it's true

Whoo peeee! xo

A Creative Mint

I was surfing this morning and came across this fine blog, A Creative Mint. She has been writing for Decor8, and I didn't even know it. But now I do!
I love the colors and the beautiful styling.
Look at these flowers...Wow.
I thought she was from Japan, but Leslie is from Canada and living in LA. But I can see she likes that pretty Japanese masking tape like I do!
And I drink Kusmi tea every morning, too. Except I like the Kashmir Tchai. But I would buy this kind just for the tin! Thanks Leslie.:):)
Another egg tonight!

Butterfly Egg

I took a lot of pictures of this egg. It's bigger than the rest, about 5 inches tall.
Butterflies and flowers.

Lots of them!
Ten more to go!

I love Iris Schwartz's work! xo :)
